Hand stitching is the most traditional method of making soccer balls. Panels are sewn together using thick polyester thread, producing deeper, stronger seams that are more wear-resistant than machine-stitched balls. A special transparent ceiling treatment prevents the ball becoming waterlogged in wet conditions. Produced almost exclusively in Pakistan thanks to highly skilled local craftsmen.
